Each year during each athletic season we spend countless amounts of time cheering for our student-athletes. We support them in practice, during games and through what seems like never-ending fundraisers. Although this support is vital and greatly appreciated, it alone will not ensure that our student-athletes will be prepared to play sports in college at the highest levels. Use these tips to help your athlete prepare.
- Make sure you both understand the NCAA eligibility requirements
- Talk with their high school guidance counselor and let them know that your athlete hopes to play their sport in college
- Get the MyPath2d1 smartphone app (it costs less than a pair of shoelaces)
- Track your athlete’s progress in meeting the requirements
Don’t let a lack of knowledge cost your athlete a $100,000 education. Stay informed!
